关爱老人，传递温暖 ——五四系列活动之走进敬老院

An Exceptional Mother’s Day in Nursing House
On May 13, forty student volunteers of BJTU Weihai visited a nursing home in Wendeng. The volunteers performed talent shows and sent their wishes to the elderly. The songs Childhood and Mother moved the aged so much that they sang and danced together with the young people. Over the lunch the young and the elderly chatted and cared about each other. On the special Mother’s Day, the volunteers brought carnations and a happy day to the mothers unable to move. They helped others and benefited a lot from the experience, reinforcing the inherited Chinese traditional virtues again.
5月13日，北京交通大学威海校区青年志愿者协会组织开展了“关爱老人，传递温暖”志愿服务活动。四十多名志愿者一同走进文登区瑞云祥养老公寓，为老人们送去了关爱和温暖。
我校区志愿者们为老人们表演了精彩的节目，一首《童年》带大家回忆起儿时的记忆，一曲《母亲》让老人们潸然泪下。老人们也献上了自己的舞蹈和歌声，彰显着属于她们的活力。
文艺演出结束后，志愿者们前往养护区，探望与慰问行动不便的老人们。志愿者们拉着老人们的手，嘘寒问暖，听他们回忆过去。老人们纷纷感慨，虽然子女不在身边，但这个母亲节有这么多孩子陪自己度过，感到十分开心与欣慰。
志愿者们为老人们送上了康乃馨，祝愿老人身体健康，一首《世上只有妈妈好》，让在场的老人们十分感动。
这次志愿服务活动不仅让老人们感受到了社会大家庭的关心与温暖，增强了校区学生的社会责任感，同时进一步传承了尊老、爱老的中华民族传统美德，弘扬了“奉献、友爱、互助、进步”志愿服务精神。
