On Sept 30, the Martyrs' Day of China, representatives of BJTU Weihai attended a public sacrifice ceremony and paid respect to the deceased, who lost their lives for the founding of new China. The students laid flowers at Martyrs Cemetery in Nanhai New Area. Through recalling the martyrs, this event inspired young people to shoulder more responsibilities, engaged in patriotic and historic missions.

校区学子积极参与RIT全球人文大会
Weihai Students Actively Participated in the Global Humanities Conference

The inspiration for the Global Humanities Conference came to Dr Jude Okpala while working with RIT China students on Weihai Campus. It is an interdisciplinary discussion; with the overarching theme of what it means to be Human in 2021. Student research focuses on cultures and people that have histories of exclusion from creation and exercises of dominant knowledge; on practices that affect subjectivity-formation, like Ethics, Culture, Economics, Translation, Technology etc. From April 19-22, 118 students of Weihai campus participated in the Conference and shared their opinions about various topics with their peers and professors from different areas of the world.
